Anchoring Windows against Spontaneous Breakage, Ares Tower Vienna

Location: Donau City, Vienna, Austria
Brief: A method to reinforce and anchor the existing glazing against spontaneous glass breakage.
Solution: The windows retaining bolts were removed in sequence.
Anti-shatter safety window film was fitted to the glass panels, then anchored around the bolt holes with self adhesive double sided polyprene washers.
The bolts where then replaced and a capping profile fitted to the top edge of each panel.
